The load and resistance factor design (LRFD) method is normally used to B-regions of reinforced concrete (RC) flexural members. includes many checks corresponding different limit states. LRFD requires loop calculation steps in the design, demonstrating its relative inefficiency. It cannot be applied compare states directly quantitatively. Different are separated isolated. How improve analytical efficiency realize direct quantitative comparisons between very important problems structural engineering. This paper presents an innovative unified (UFRD) a evaluation (UFRE) frame solve these some extent. main contents include (UFR) principles, formulas for method, operation procedure facilitate usage, UFRE framework states, three examples. results show that UFRD can provide same outcomes as one. However, calculations simpler, requiring at most 20% method. make with each other quantitatively, which realized by helps expose potential insufficient hazards such only 10% strength reservation one example. Thus, supplement develop degree. simplicity practicality approach them appropriate applications.
